Indiana Ear offers comprehensive ear care for a variety of conditions related to ear health, hearing, tinnitus, balance, headache, and more. Our clinic, serving patients in Fort Wayne, South Bend, and the surrounding communities, is run by Dr. Michael J. Disher, MD, a board-certified neurotologist who has been practicing in Indiana since 1996. Dr. Disher works closely with our three expert audiologists, Denise Bickley, AuD, Deborah King, AuD, CCC-A, FAAA, and Charlene Cordes, MA, and an experienced, caring team of providers and staff that is truly committed to meeting your needs.

Meet Dr. Disher, MD

Michael J. Disher , MD is a board-certified neurotologist. Dr. Disher has been practicing as a neurotologist in Indiana since 1996. He received his undergraduate B.A. in Biology in 1981 at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Dr. Disher attended medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1986.

Meet Our Audiologists

Denise Bickley, Au.D.

Denise completed her undergraduate training at Purdue University in Fort Wayne, IN and her graduate training at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She earned her doctorate degree through Salus University. Denise has been practicing diagnostic audiology and dispensing services in northern Indiana for 13 years. Her special interests include adult hearing aid services, including CROS hearing systems, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) management.

Ellie Zuber, Au.D.

Ellie completed her bachelors degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Cincinnati in 2015 where she also earned her doctorate of audiology degree in 2019. She is licensed in the state of Indiana and a member of the American Academy of Audiology. Ellie has previous experience with pediatric and adult diagnostic testing, hearing aid fittings, and cochlear implant programming. Outside of works she enjoys spending time with friends and family and volunteering at church.

Debbie earned her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Ball State University in 1987 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from ATSU in 2008.  She is currently employed with Ear Clinic of Indiana after having owned a private practice in Fort Wayne for the past several years. Debbie is licensed by the state of Indiana and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.  Debbie’s current clinical work focuses on adult diagnostic hearing testing and hearing aid fittings.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and rescue pets.

Dr. Deborah King,

AuD, CCC-A, FAAA

Indiana Ear is the region’s only specialty ear clinic, and we take pride in offering top-notch sub-specialty services to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions related the ear. Our staff is unique in that all patients receive customized treatment from both audiologists and our neurotologist, Dr. Disher. This multi-care approach means patients receive the right treatments and services for their specific condition.
