Neurotology

Dr. Michael J. Disher, MD

Michael J. Disher , MD is a board-certified neurotologist. Dr. Disher has been practicing as a neurotologist in Indiana since 1996. He received his undergraduate B.A. in Biology in 1981 at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Dr. Disher attended medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1986.

Danielle, a family nurse practitioner, joined the Indiana Ear team in July 2019. She completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne. Danielle previously worked as a registered nurse in the operating room at Lutheran Hospital.

 

She is a member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana. Danielle is able to diagnose and treat patients of all ages with a variety of ear-related concerns such as hearing loss, ear infections, ear pain, tinnitus, dizziness, imbalance, and headaches.

Danielle Castillo, FNP

Brittany, a family nurse practitioner, joined the Indiana Ear team in February 2020.  She completed both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

 

Brittany has previously worked as a registered nurse for a total of twelve years in the surgical trauma intensive care unit and the surgery department at Parkview Hospital.  She is a Board Certified Holistic Nurse and a member of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana.

Brittany Serovy, FNP

Audiology

Denise completed her undergraduate training at Purdue University in Fort Wayne, IN, and her graduate training at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She earned her doctorate degree through Salus University.

 

Denise has been practicing diagnostic audiology and dispensing services in northern Indiana for 13 years. Her special interests include adult hearing aid services, including CROS hearing systems, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears) management.

Dr. Denise Bickley, Au.D., F-AAA

Debbie earned her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from Ball State University in 1987 and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from ATSU in 2008. She is currently employed with Ear Clinic of Indiana after having owned a private practice in Fort Wayne for the past several years.

 

Debbie is licensed by the state of Indiana and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Debbie’s current clinical work focuses on adult diagnostic hearing testing and hearing aid fittings. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and rescue pets.

Dr. Deborah King, Au.D., CCC-A

Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at Purdue University, W. Lafayette in 2000. She also obtained her Hearing Instrument Specialist certificate from the State of Indiana. She is our office technician and Patient Care Coordinator, bringing 19 years of experience to our team.

 

Leslie focuses on helping patients fix common hearing aid issues and advises on proper use and care of their devices. Additionally, she is our office’s insurance liaison. Outside of work, Leslie keeps busy by traveling with her two sons for soccer and volunteering within the Fort Wayne community.

Leslie Cohen, B.S. SPHS

Dr. Tina Sheehan has been an audiologist since 1998. She attended Purdue University where she obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She achieved her doctorate of audiology degree from Salus University. She returned to Salus University in 2010 for 9-months of training, receiving a specialty certification in Cochlear Implants for adults and children.

 

Her clinical focus is in pediatrics and cochlear implants. Tina is passionate about working with people striving to successfully navigate a world living with hearing loss, walking alongside them helping them achieve their optimal communication success. She has a special interest in assisting families who have children with hearing loss at each age and stage of their child’s life to be a source of support, advocacy, and information. Dr. Sheehan is a Fort Wayne native where she continues to live with her husband and youngest son, and she has an older son who is a missionary in Thailand. She loves spending time with her family, read and watch sports.

 

Dr. Sheehan has been awarded:

  • 2019 Indiana Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics Community Service Award

  • McMillen Health Vitality Award: 2020 Healthcare Award for exceptional service in healthcare.
